The Kentucky women’s basketball team got back to .500 on the season with a 76-65 win at Arkansas Monday evening. The win is the second consecutive for Matthew Mitchell’s club and the third in the last five games, bringing their overall record to 11-11 (3-5 SEC).

Kentucky shot the ball well from all areas of the floor, shooting 46 percent from the floor, 45 percent from the three-point line, and 77 percent from the free throw line, where they knocked down 17-of-22 attempts.

The Wildcats were powered by a strong performance from the bench. The reserves scored 36 of the Wildcats 76 points, led by freshman Dorie Harrison’s career-high 16 points. The freshman posted a career high in points for the second consecutive game. She scored 15 points in last Thursday’s win vs. Alabama. Amanda Paschal added 10 points off the bench on 5-of-10 shooting and Jada Roper chipped in with five in 14 minutes of action.

In all, five Wildcats reached double figures. Junior’s Taylor Murray (12 points) and Maci Morris (11 points) combined for 23 points. Murray entered the game averaging 19.8 points in the previous four games, including the first ever 20-point, 10-assist performance in UK women’s basketball history.
