Wildcats Climb Back into AP Poll

Following a rough stretch of losing three out of six games, the Kentucky Wildcats dropped out of the Associated Press Poll for the first time since March 2014. That might have been the best thing that happened to John Calipari’s freshman-laden club, as the Wildcats are back in this week’s AP Poll after wins vs. Mississippi State and on the road at No. 7 West Virginia.

Kentucky comes in at No. 21 in this week’s poll and this time their ranking is earned. Something was taken from them and they responded in a way that nobody could see coming.

After trailing by 17 points in the second half at West Virginia on Saturday night, the Wildcats outscored the Mountaineers 50-28 in the second half to emerge with an 83-76 victory.

Joining Kentucky in the top 25 is Auburn No. 11, Tennessee No. 18, and Florida No. 23.
