Wenyen Gabriel Will Workout for the Sacramento Kings on Monday

The deadline to withdraw names from the NBA draft is coming, but don’t expect to hear anything from Wenyen Gabriel for at least a few days.

Gabriel will work out for the Sacramento Kings on Monday. With Willie Cauley-Stein, De’Aaron Fox, and Skal Labissiere on the roster, the Kings love former Wildcat players.

The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 6.8 points and 5.4 rebounds during his sophomore season. Out of the six UK players to declare for the draft, he was the only one to not receive an invite to last weeks combine. However, he worked out for the Utah Jazz earlier this month.

If Gabriel remains in the draft, he is expected to go undrafted. His name doesn’t show up within the sixty-pick range of any NBA mock drafts.

Gabriel has until May 30th to return to school or keep his name in the 2018 NBA draft. PJ Washington and Jarred Vanderbilt also have decisions to make before the deadline. Along with Gabriel, Washington and Vanderbilt declared for the NBA draft without hiring an agent.
