Kentucky’s Lynn Bowden turned in an unforgettable performance in a must win game vs. Arkansas last Saturday night at Kroger Field.
After losing Terry Wilson and Sawyer Smith to injuries in recent weeks, Bowden stepped in at quarterback for the first time in his Kentucky career and not to run the Wildcat formation.
The UK junior carried the ball 24 times for 196 yards and two touchdowns to lead the charge in Kentucky’s 24-20 win vs. the Razorbacks. He added 78 yards and a touchdown through the air.
The performance led to Bowden being named Co-SEC Player of the Week on Monday, the league office announced. He is also up for more weekly honors, including the Manning Award Star of the Week.
