Five-star center Vernon Carey Jr. trimmed his list of schools to five on Wednesday, and the Kentucky Wildcats made the cut.
Carey, a consensus top two player in the 2019 class, announced his final five schools in a post to social media. In addition to Kentucky, Duke, Michigan State, Miami, and North Carolina round out his top five.
John Calipari is trying to land both Carey and the nations No. 1 player, James Wiseman. The UK coach is using Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins as a comparison.
