Three UK Targets Represented on Nike EYLB All-Dallas Teams

D1 Circuit released their Nike EYBL All-Dallas team for session one and a number of Wildcats targets are represented on the second and third teams.

2019 target Tyrese Maxey is the only UK target to be named to the second-team. In three games, Maxey averaged 22.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 3.7 steals per game for Drive Nation.

Kentucky coach John Calipari has been on turning up the heat on Maxey the last few months and the five-star combo guard is considering reclassifying to 2018. He will look to build on his strong opening session this weekend in Indianapolis. D1 Circuit had the following to say about his opening weekend.

“Maxey is one of the most dangerous guards on the circuit, and will continue to put up gaudy numbers in his second EYBL go-around.”

In addition to Maxey, UK targets Keion Brooks and Vernon Carey Jr. was named to the All-Dallas third team. Brooks, a five-star small forward for 2019, averaged 21 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.8 blocks per game for the Indy Heat. Brooks will look to defend home court in Indianapolis this weekend.

Carey Jr. also posted solid numbers for session one, averaging 18.8 points and 6.0 rebounds while shooting 59.5 percent from the field for Nike Team Florida. D1 Circuit had the following to say about his performance.

“If Carey plays down low, there are only a handful of players that have a chance at legally stopping him. He’s simply too big and strong for many teams to deal with.”

Meanwhile, UK targets Jalen Lecque and James Wiseman were named All-Dallas Honorable Mention, as well as UK commit D.J. Jeffries.

Jalen Lecque: 16 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.

James Wiseman: 14.8 points, 6 rebounds, 1.2 blocks, 56.5 FG percentage.

D.J. Jeffries: 12 points, 8 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 56.2 FG percentage.
