John Calipari started the week off with a bang this morning when five-star forward E.J. Montgomery committed to Kentucky.
Evan Daniels of 247 Sports broke the news of Montgomery’s a commitment this morning. It was reported last week that Kentucky was gaining ground in his recruitment but nobody was expecting a decision from him this morning.
The news all weekend was about the possibility of 2019 No. 1 point guard Ashton Hagans reclassifying to 2018 to join Immanuel Quickley, Keldon Johnson, and Tyler Herro. Trust me when I say that nobody saw this coming but that didn’t keep UK’s three signees from being excited about his commitment. All three took to Twitter immediately following the announcement.
If the Wildcats do indeed land Hagans, then look out.
