Future Kentucky small forward Keldon Johnson put on a show on national television today, as his Oak Hill Academy squad squared off vs. University School (Fla.).
Johnson, a 6-6 wing, is rated the No. 7 player in the 2018 ESPN 100. He committed and signed with Kentucky in November.
He is everything John Calipari likes in a wing player. He isn’t afraid to initiate contact near the rim and his jumper is improving. Also, he isn’t afraid of the spotlight and today’s 21 points, seven-rebound effort on ESPNU is proof of that.
His performance led to him being named the player of the game by ESPN. It didn’t take much to realize why Calipari wanted him and it’s easy to see how he will fit in with the Wildcats next season.
