Kentucky women’s basketball signee Blair Green surpassed the 3,000-point mark of her high school career in a 91-45 win vs. Letcher County Central on Tuesday night.
Green, a 6-0 versatile guard, is a senior at Harlan County High School. Ranked a four-star prospect and top ten wing in the 2018 class, she signed with Kentucky during the November signing period.
In addition to eclipsing 3,000 points, Green has also hauled in 1,000 rebounds for her high school career. Before arriving in Lexington in the fall, Green is looking to lead Harlan County to the schools first Sweet Sixteen appearance.
The UK signee ranks fourth in the state in scoring (26.4 points), 3rd in free throw percentage (86.6), and top 20 in field goal percentage (59.1 percent).
I met with her on signing day to ask her why she decided to choose Kentucky and her answer was simple, “Kentucky is home.”
