Kentucky freshman guard Tyrese Maxey turned in the best performance of his collegiate career in Kentucky’s 78-70 win vs. No. 3 Louisville.
The Garland, Texas, native scored a career-high 27 points on 9-of-14 shooting, including 4-of-5 from three-point range.
The offensive performance and the win for the Wildcats led to Andy Katz of NCAA.com naming Maxey the Player of the Week.
Kentucky-Louisville was the first game @TyreseMaxey’s father attended in Rupp this season.

Maxey and the Wildcats picked up their biggest win of the season to this point. Next up for Kentucky is a home game with Missouri on Saturday to start SEC play.
