Calipari Will Visit 2019 Point Guard Tyrese Maxey Later Today

John Calipari has been everywhere the last ten days and later today, he will make his second trip to Texas this spring.

According to Rivals David Sisk, Calipari will visit South Garland, Texas point guard Tyrese Maxey. The five-star guard has quickly become a hot name on the UK recruiting trail, thanks to his comments last week about possibly reclassifying to the 2018 class.

When the spring recruiting period kicked off, Maxey was one of the first players to receive a visit from Calipari. A second within a ten day period shows how interested Calipari is. Maxey served up some Texas BBQ the last time Calipari was in town. I’m not sure what will be on the menu this time around but Calipari will try every recipe he can to land one of the nation’s elite ball handlers.

Calipari visited New Jersey five-star duo Scottie Lewis and Bryan Antoine on Saturday and after visiting Maxey today, he will have visits with the top two players in the 2019 class, Vernon Carey Jr. and James Wiseman, on Monday.
