Former Kentucky guard Tyler Herro is the second former Wildcat to be selected in the 2019 NBA draft and one pick after PJ Washington was chosen by the Charlotte Hornets.

The Miami Heat selected Herro with No. 13 pick of the draft.

Herro, who most projected to be a multi-year player at Kentucky out of high school, stepped on campus at Kentucky last summer with this goal of becoming a first-round pick.

In his lone season at Kentucky, Herro scored 519 points and knocked down 60 three-point attempts.

Herro will join former Wildcat Bam Adebayo in Miami.
