Tony Delk Believes EJ Montgomery will Stay in Draft

Kentucky forward EJ Montgomery has until May 29th to make his final decision about the NBA Draft. Will he return to Kentucky for a sophomore season or remain in the draft?

According to former UK All-American Tony Delk, Montgomery might be finished at Kentucky.

Delk is currently serving as a consultant to Montgomery and he told Jerry Titpon of the Herald-Leader that he believes Montgomery is staying in the draft.

“I think he’s staying in,” Delk said of Montgomery on Friday night. “Just from what I’ve been hearing. He’s already had a couple workouts with teams. So I guess he’s got some good reports from GMs.”

If Montgomery decides to stay in the draft, Kentucky will have a serious issue with front court depth. Currently, Nate Sestina is the only big man on the roster until we hear decisions from Montgomery and Nick Richards.
