Mark Stoops took the podium for his first weekly press conference of the 2018 season and he named a starting quarterback in the process.

Stoops announced that sophomore Terry Wilson earned the start for Saturday’s season opener vs. Central Michigan. Willson, a JUCO transfer from Garden City Community College, beat out redshirt sophomore Gunnar Hoak for the starting job.

Stoops said he isn’t sure if he will play more than one quarterback on Saturday.
