Highest Chance to Win SEC Tournament, According to ESPN/BPI

The 2018 men’s SEC Tournament gets underway tonight in St. Louis and if it’s anything like the regular season was, it should be a good one.

Kentucky’s first game will be at 3:25 ET/2:25 CT. on Friday or approximately 25 minutes after the first quarterfinal game ends. The Wildcats will either face Missouri, Georgia, or Vanderbilt, depending on what happens in the first two rounds.

Yesterday, ESPN.com/BPI released the teams that have the best chance to win the SEC tournament and they gave Kentucky a 14.2 percent chance. Tennessee and Auburn have the best chances at 28 and 25 percent while Florida is fourth at 14 percent.

Obviously, this is before the news that Jarred Vanderbilt suffered an injury in practice Tuesday and is listed as day-to-day heading into the tournament. Rumors are flying around and it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what is going on. John Calipari will meet with the media tomorrow in St. Louis and we should have an update then. My guess is he doesn’t practice tomorrow and doesn’t play Friday. We will see.

Take a look at the BPI chart below.
