The New Zealand native spent most of his sophomore season away from the floor. He suffered a back injury that kept him out of action and then was later suspended for an off the court incident.
During his time at Kentucky, he scored 19 points and grabbed 27 rebounds in 97 minutes of action. His best performance of his career came against Monmouth, where he scored four points and grabbed six rebounds in a career high 12 minutes. Additionally, Wynyard was an All-Southeastern Conference Honor Roll member.
