Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is developing into one of the best former UK players to play in the NBA and you can make an argument that he is one of the top guards in the league.
The Oklahoma City guard made NBA history in a win vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves Monday night.
Gilgeous-Alexander recorded the first triple double of his NBA career, totaling 20 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists in the win.
He is the youngest player (21 years, 185 days) in NBA history with a 20-rebound triple-double, passing Shaquille O’Neal (21 years, 258 days), according to Elias Sports.
Gilgeous-Alexander is also the first Canadian born player to record a triple-double.
SGA joins Russell Westbrook as the only guard with a 20-point, 20-rebound triple-double over the last 30 seasons. Only six players have posted a similar stat line the last 30 years.
