Kentucky football has been riding a wave of recruiting momentum this spring and it continued on Monday.
The Wildcats picked up a commitment from Sawyer Smith, a quarterback transfer from Troy University.
Smith will have two years of eligibility remaining and will be able to play for Kentucky this fall. He led Troy to a 10-win season in 2018, starting the final seven games of the year.
Smith completed 62.9 percent of his passes last season to throw for 1,669 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Excited to announce that I’m going to spend my last seasons as a Graduate Transfer at THE University of Kentucky!! Words can’t begin to explain how proud my family and I are to be apart of the #BBN @UKFootball pic.twitter.com/b223Ixk3td
