Kentucky’s 79-76 road win at LSU is another impressive victory for the Cats, who have been excellent in tough environments this season.
Think of the road games Kentucky has won since mid-January – Arkansas, Texas Tech, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and LSU. The only loss in that stretch was at Auburn on February 1st.
Kentucky has been able to win in environments that have given them trouble in the past and if you’re into good omens, here’s one for you.
Only three times in the last 25 years has Kentucky won at LSU, Tennessee and Vanderbilt in the same season. Those three seasons were 2011-2012, 1997-1998 and 1995-1996, the last three seasons Kentucky won a national championship.
I like that pattern.
The last 3 seasons in which Kentucky defeated LSU in Baton Rouge, Tennessee in Knoxville, and Vanderbilt in Nashville: 2011-2012, 1997-1998, 1995-1996.
