Reports are that Terry Wilson Looked his Best in Saturday’s Scrimmage

Two weeks from today the Kentucky Wildcats will take the field at Kroger Field for the season opener vs. Central Michigan.

After back to back 7-6 campaigns, Mark Stoops is hoping the program takes another step forward in 2018.

With UK returning a significant number of starters on both offense and defense, including star running back Benny Snell Jr., there’s optimism that the Cats can make giant strides this season. One key factor, however, will be the starting quarterback position.

Redshirt sophomore Gunnar Hoak and sophomore transfer Terry Wilson have battled throughout spring and fall camp but no clear leader has emerged. After today’s second scrimmage of the fall, Wilson might be taking control.

I still think both quarterbacks will play week one but if Kentucky wants to establish any kind of rhythm, someone has to separate themselves in the next few weeks.

In the video below, Wilson is working with the first string offense.

Mark Stoops did say after Saturday’s scrimmage that both quarterbacks looked good and they will get an idea about a starter for game one as the date gets closer.

Who you think will be the starter?
