Kentucky is in the running to land one of the most talented 2020 prospects available.
According to Jon Rothstein of CBS, Kentucky and UCLA are favorites to land five star forward Makur Maker.
The 6-foot-11, 235-pound prospect is currently in the 2020 NBA Draft but could decide to attend college next season. If so, Kentucky and UCLA appear to be the top suitors.
Maker is also considering Auburn, Memphis, and Oregon.
Rothstein reports that Maker isn’t expected to take the G-League route.
Despite the report, I’m not sure Maker will play college basketball. Playing professionally still seems to be the most likely scenario.
