Report: Jordan Jones to Return to Kentucky for Senior Season

According to SEC Country, linebacker Jordan Jones will return to Kentucky for his senior season. The announcement came via Joe Mussatto on Twitter.

Jones, a two-year starter, joins Josh Allen, Mike Edwards, and Denzil Ware as players to announce that they are bypassing the NFL Draft to return to Kentucky for a final season.

With the return of four key players, Kentucky’s defense should return 10 starters from a unit that struggled mightily at times in 2017. Regardless, losing all four would have been a major setback for the defense but with their experience in returning, a step forward is a must and there will be no excuses.

Mark Stoops quickly decided that defensive coordinator Matt House would return next season. House will be in his second year leading the defense and improvement should be expected or there will be major question marks moving forward.
