Kentucky forward Reid Travis was a different type of one and done after transferring to Kentucky for his final season of college basketball.

Travis will be remembered for his leadership and professionalism that he brought to a young Wildcat team.

While it was only one season, Travis will be one of the most beloved players to play during the Calipari era.

Travis posted a heartfelt message to #BBN.

I loved every minute of watching Reid Travis and the rest of the team play! I was sad for him that he didn’t get to win the championship! The rest of the boys will be able to stay if they wish to try again for the win but Reid won’t!

We just loved watching you all season! You are a hard working, wonderful young man who was an amazing role model for our younger players. You are part of an awesome team and you had a fabulous season! We know you don’t know us, but we love you players like you are our children. All year we called you our boys! We talked to and yelled at and with you guys through every game. My husband kept telling me “they can’t hear you!!” He never could convince me that you couldn’t hear me cajoling, begging, and congratulating you guys!! You will be missed and we wish the best for you in whatever you endeavor to do!
