PJ Washington was the first Kentucky Wildcat to hear his name called in the 2019 NBA draft.
The Charlotte Hornets selected Washington with the No. 12 pick in the draft.
After going through the draft process following his freshman season, Washington elected to return to Kentucky for a sophomore season to improve his draft stock. He did just that, moving up from a second-round pick to a lottery selection.
It shouldn’t be long until Tyler Herro and Keldon Johnson hear their names called.
