UK Quarterback Commit Nik Scalzo is Exciting to Watch
Kentucky fans are hesitant to fall in love with a quarterback commitment before they have signed on the dotted line, but Nik Scalzo says he is different than the others.
Kentucky fans have felt heartbreak more than once when it comes to recruiting quarterbacks. Both Mac Jones and Jarren Williams were once committed to Kentucky before flipping to Alabama and Miami after convincing fans they were all in with the Wildcats.

Scalzo, a 5-10 dual threat quarterback from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., committed to Kentucky in mid-May and he’s all in with the program. He’s said in multiple interviews that he is 100 percent solid with Kentucky and despite what’s happened in the past, I believe him.
The UK commit has never let his small frame keep him from making plays on the field. As a junior, he threw for 2.065 yards and 23 touchdowns. Before that, he threw for 2,221 yards and 27 touchdowns as a sophomore.
The biggest part to his game is his ability to make plays with his feet, especially to move around in the pocket. In the video below, Scalzo shows how elusive he is in the pocket while having arm strength to deliver a perfect strike to a wide receiver.
