Nate Sestina Showed his Ability to Shoot During Pro Day

Kentucky fans got their first look at the 2019-2020 Kentucky Wildcats during Sunday’s Pro Day event in Lexington.

While fans are familiar with Ashton Hagans, EJ Montgomery, Immanuel Quickley and Nick Richards, they got their first look at Kentucky’s group of freshman and graduate transfer Nate Sestina.

Sestina, who spent the previous four seasons at Bucknell, showcased his ability to stretch the floor and shoot the basketball. During one shooting session, the 6-foot-9, 234-pound senior knocked down 20-of-24 three-point attempts. He shot 38-percent from three-point range for Bucknell last season.

When Sestina arrived at Kentucky, transforming his body to allow him to move around better was one of his top goals. He achieved that goal during the offseason, as he completely transformed. Last season at Bucknell he was listed at 245-pounds. He’s currently listed at 234-pounds on the UK Athletics website.

The NBA scouts in Lexington this weekend have to be impressed with Sestina, a guy they didn’t know much about before they arrived.
