Max Duffy was the Definition of Class in his Postgame Interview

Kentucky junior Max Duffy has been one of the most important players for the Wildcats since he stepped foot on campus in 2018.

You can count on one hand the number of bad punts off the foot of Duffy since he has been in Lexington and one of them came during the third quarter of a scoreless game Saturday night in Athens. Duffy’s punt went off the side of his foot and sailed out of bounds at the Kentucky 39-yard line. A play later, D’Andre Swift broke free for a 39-yard touchdown run, the first score of the game.

Even though Duffy says the weather conditions didn’t factor into the mistake, I’m willing to bet they had an impact. Fans don’t often hear from the UK punter following games but he spoke to the media in Athens Saturday night.

Duffy is one of the classiest interviews and you see why below. He couldn’t help but think if things would’ve turned out differently had that punt not gone off the side of his foot.

Seven punts in awful weather conditions and only one of them was bad. He gave Kentucky’s defense a chance to have success all night by flipping the field and he certainly doesn’t have anything to hang his head about.
