Everything Lynn Bowden said Following his Second Start at Quarterback

Athens, GA – Lynn Bowden’s effort and toughness can never be questioned, especially after the last two weeks.

With junior quarterback Sawyer Smith out with an injury, Bowden stepped in at quarterback vs. Arkansas and Georgia the last two games. He led the Wildcats to a 24-20 win vs. the Razorbacks last week and gave every ounce of energy he had to keep Kentucky in the game vs. Georgia.

In the end, Kentucky’s offense failed to capitalize when it had opportunities and the Wildcat defense, a group that battled Georgia snap for snap, eventually wore down in the second half.

After a scoreless first half, Georgia scored three touchdowns in the second half to win 21-0, moving the Wildcats to 3-4 (1-4 in SEC) on the season.

Following the game, Bowden met with the media to discuss Kentucky’s effort in Athens, missed opportunities and what the outlook is on the rest of the Wildcats season.
