Kentucky junior athlete Lynn Bowden was named the winner of the 2019 Paul Hornung Award on Wednesday.
The Hornung Award is awarded annually to the most versatile player in college football. Bowden was definitely that for the Wildcats in 2019.
After playing wide receiver and returner for the first five games of the season, Bowden made the switch to quarterback in game six vs. Arkansas. All he did was lead Kentucky to a 5-2 record and another trip to a bowl game.
Bowden took a moment Wednesday to tweet about the honor and thank those that voted.
Man I’m not crying 🖤 blessed thank God 🙏🏽 and thank everyone that voted https://t.co/KChcKNxyIT
