Louisville Removes Papa John’s from Stadium Name

The University of Louisville has announced that the football stadium will no longer be named Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium, following the recent news surrounding company founder, John Schnatter.

Instead, the stadium will now be referred to as Cardinal Stadium.

The change comes just days after news broke that Schnatter made a racist comment during a conference call. He resigned as Chairman of the Board with Papa John’s and Louisville’s board of trustees.
