If you’re searching for something to do on Friday night, you have a couple of options. First, you can attend the annual men’s basketball blue/white game in Rupp Arena at 7:00 p.m. Following the game, you have time to get a late dinner before heading over to the Lexington Ice Center to watch the UK hockey team.
All home UK hockey games are played at the Lexington Ice Center, better known as “The Barn”. The puck drops at midnight for each home game and entry is $7.00.
Tim Pergram, who is in his first season in Lexington, coaches the Wildcats. Through ten games, the Wildcats have a record of 6-4, but recently picked up victories vs. Georgetown and Navy.
A lot of fans may not know about the hockey team and I am ashamed to say that I had no idea. Now that I am aware of them, I will be attending a midnight hockey game at The Barn. Tell me what’s better than basketball at 7:00, followed by hockey at midnight.
The Wildcats return home this Friday for a matchup with Xavier. Fans are encouraged to wear pink, as the theme is Pink in the Rink Night. Show up to support the Wildcats and wear pink.
