The Father of Kevin Knox says Dinner/Meeting Never Happened

When Yahoo! Sports released their report about potential NCAA violations, Bam Adebayo was the biggest name on that list from Kentucky but there is nothing that can be done about that at the moment. The name that immediately impacts Kentucky is Kevin Knox, whose name was written down as having an alleged dinner with Christain Dawkins, who worked with Andy Miller’s agency ASM Sports.

According to SEC Country’s Kyle Tucker and Alan Cutler of LEX18, Kevin Knox Sr., the father of Kevin Knox, said he never met with Christian Dawkins or Andy Miller and he wouldn’t even recognize him (Dawkins).

While the issues with Adebayo are the most concerning because the 2016-2017 season and 32 wins are in jeopardy, the issue with Knox relates to the present and is the only thing the University of Kentucky can have control over. Knox is averaging 15.4 points per game for Kentucky, who rely heavily on him on the offensive end. Knox Sr. went on to tell Tucker that he expects Knox to play tomorrow vs. Missouri stating that “those are just allegations.”

John Calipari was scheduled to meet with the media at 2:15 p.m. ET. on Friday but with today’s news, I’m sure that doesn’t take place now. It should also be noted that the University of Kentucky has not responded to any questions about the allegations regarding Adebayo, Noel or Knox.

I will update more as I hear but you can read the full story by Kyle Tucker, who gives more detail regarding the situation, at the link below.
