Report: Kentucky Reached Out to Purdue Transfer Matt Haarms

Purdue’s Matt Haarms entered the NCAA transfer portal on Monday and Kentucky, along with other programs, have already reached out.

According to Evan Daniels of 247 Sports, more than 20 schools have reached out to Haarms.

“It’s been a wild day,” Haarms told Daniels. “Have about 30 missed calls that I still need to catch up with.”

Haarms, a 7-foot-3, 250-pound center, is one of the most sought after transfers and for good reason. He will provide an instant impact for a team next season.

Haarms totaled 210 blocked shots in three seasons at Purdue, the fourth most in school history.

In addition to Kentucky, Gonzaga, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Ohio, Illinois State, Louisville, Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Syracuse, DePaul, South Carolina, Boston College, Seton Hall, Wichita State, Cincinnati, Oklahoma State, Washington State, Utah, Oregon State, San Jose State and Cal State Fullerton have reached out.
