It’s hard to believe John Calipari has already spent a decade as head coach at the University of Kentucky after arriving in 2009.

Calipari is set to begin his second decade as coach at Kentucky and if it’s anything like the first ten years, a lot of success is on the way in Lexington. In the last ten season’s, Kentucky appeared in four Final Fours and two national championship games while winning one title in 2012, the program’s 8th NCAA championship.

Last week, Sports Illustrated ranked each national championship team of the last decade and to no surprise, Kentucky was at the top of the list. It’s hard to argue any team had more talent than the Wildcats did with Anthony Davis leading the way, along with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Doron Lamb, Terrence Jones, Darius Miller and Marquis Teague.

One painful thing when you look at the list below is where UConn’s 2011 and 2014 teams are ranked. Kentucky lost to UConn in the 2011 Final Four and again in the 2014 NCAA title game, two great opportunities they let slip away.

You can check out the entire list at the link below.
