Halfway home at Rupp Arena and the Kentucky Wildcats lead the Ole Miss Rebels, 50-42. The Wildcat scoring attack was balanced in the first half with three players reaching double figures. Kevin Knox scored 13 points to lead Kentucky, Wenyen Gabriel chipped in 12, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added eleven.
The Rebels entered with a record of 5-11 in SEC play and without head coach Andy Kennedy, who stepped down from his position in recent weeks. Most of the first half was spent at the review monitor, as four technicals were called. Marcanvis Hymon was ejected after picking up his second technical foul for shoving Nick Richards in the back.

Hymon receives two technicals and is ejected in the first 3 minutes and 24 seconds. That’s got to be record or something. pic.twitter.com/JBGamMRY5O
