Kentucky on the Move in Joe Lunardi’s Latest Bracketology

NCAA tournament projections change by the day but after two back to back wins by Kentucky, they have improved their position for the big dance. ESPN’s Joe Lunardi updated his NCAA projections, which has Kentucky as a No. 5 seed in the Midwest Region.

Just a couple of weeks ago, the Wildcats were as low as a No. 9 seed but thanks to college basketball’s struggles, they were able to climb. The question is how far can they climb? If they win the final three regular-season games and sweep through the SEC Tournament, Kentucky could possibly climb to a No. 3 seed, especially if they defeat someone like Auburn or Tennessee on their way to winning the league title.

The one negative is Kentucky would have to travel to San Diego for the opening weekend of the tournament but if that is the exact region Kentucky receives, you have to like their chances to advance deep into the tournament. I’d take that bracket any day.
