Kentucky moves up in the AP Poll following win vs. Louisville

After dropping two consecutive games to Utah and Ohio State in Las Vegas, the Kentucky Wildcats needed a big win to close the month of December. They got it last Saturday at Rupp Arena.

Kentucky’s 78-70 victory vs. Louisville is the best win of the season thus far for Kentucky and they climbed in the AP Poll as a result. The Wildcats are up two spots to No. 17 in this weeks poll.

Auburn at No. 8 is still the highest ranked team from the SEC. Arkansas, despite their 11-1 start and win at Indiana Sunday, didn’t move into the poll. They did, however, receive votes and could be ranked by the time the Cats travel to Fayetteville.

Kentucky will travel to Arkansas on Saturday, January 18th. The Wildcats will play two regular season games vs. Auburn this season.
