Where Kentucky Stands in Latest Bracket Update before Ole Miss Matchup

Joe Lunardi
Chet White | UK Athletics

Seven regular season games remain before the SEC Tournament tips off in Nashville next month.

Next up for the Kentucky Wildcats is a home matchup with the Ole Miss Rebels, who are winners of their last three games (South Carolina, Florida, Mississippi State).

At 19-5 (9-2 SEC), Kentucky has plenty of time to improve their seeding before Selection Sunday.

That said, we have reached the point in the season when we should start taking a look at where the Wildcats stand heading into each matchup.

Lunardi’s latest update has the Wildcats as a No. 4 seed in the South. At this point last week, Kentucky was a projected No. 5 seed. A win vs. the Rebels wouldn’t be enough to jump to a No. 3, but it would position the Wildcats to move up with a strong week vs. LSU and Florida next week.

Kentucky needs to take care of the Rebels first. You can see Lunardi’s entire bracket here.
