The Kentucky Wildcats and Louisville Cardinals annually battle on the final Saturday of the college football season but one bowl projection has the two in-state rivals playing in the postseason.
Kyle Bonagura of ESPN has Kentucky and Louisville in the Music City Bowl in Nashville on Monday, December 30th at 4 p.m. ET. on ESPN.
If that prediction were to happen, it means the Wildcats and Cardinals would conclude the regular season at Kroger Field on Saturday, November 30th and then play again a month later.
As much fun as it would be to play Louisville in Nashville, I don’t think the two teams will be matched in postseason play.
While Bonagura has Kentucky/Louisville, Mark Schlabach of ESPN predicts Kentucky vs. Virginia Tech in the Belk Bowl on Tuesday, December 31st.
