UK Officially Announces Keion Brooks Jr. Returning for Sophomore Year

The news is official. Keion Brooks Jr. is returning to Kentucky for his sophomore season, UK announced Tuesday night.

I don’t think anyone expected Brooks to leave after one season in Lexington, but given UK’s history with early NBA departures and in recent years the transfer portal, it’s good to see his return confirmed.

We know for sure Kentucky will have eight scholarship players on next season’s roster. Joining Brooks will be redshirt freshman Dontaie Allen and signees BJ Boston, Terrence Clarke, Isaiah Jackson, Cam’Ron Fletcher, Devin Askew and Lance Ware.

EJ Montgomery, Immanuel Quickley and Nick Richards still have decisions to make and Calipari will most likely add a player or two to the roster.
