Kentucky football is honoring sophomore Josh Paschal and offensive line coach John Schlarman.
Paschal was diagnosed with malignant melanoma on his right foot in early August. Schlarman is also battling a serious illness and is undergoing treatment.
This season the Wildcats will wear a helmet sticker with the initials JP and JS to honor Paschal and Schlarman. Additionally, players will have bracelets that read #JPon3 and #SchlarmanStrong.
We're proudly wearing these wristbands and will do the same with a helmet sticker all season to show @JPaschalx & @CoachSchlarman they are always in our thoughts as they battle serious illness. We give our all because they wouldn't have it any other way. #JPon3 #Schlarmanstrong pic.twitter.com/pBU8l9laTM
