The Kentucky Wildcats picked up a huge SEC win vs. No. 14 Mississippi State on Saturday night at Kroger Field, dominating the Bulldogs 28-7.

With the win, Kentucky moves to 2-0 in the SEC for the first time since 1977 and they’ve positioned themselves to be a legit contender in the east.

This Kentucky team continues to play for teammate Josh Paschal and offensive line coach John Schlarman, as both battle cancer. But on Saturday night they played in memory of Marco Shemwell, the four-year old boy that passed away earlier this week after being hit by a car near Kroger Field last Saturday.

Following the game, Mark Stoops announced the team will deliver the game ball to the Shemwell family on Sunday.

“The last thing I would like to say is, I’m glad we played good for Marco and the Shemwell family. We’re going to bring this game ball to them tomorrow for Marco and the Shemwell family and I’m so glad that we played well in honor of him and that family.”
