Immanuel Quickley Arrived on Campus Saturday

Kentucky freshman guard Immanuel Quickley and his Wildcat teammates are now in Lexington for summer classes and workouts.

Quickley didn’t waste time Saturday morning as he dropped his pinpoint location as Lexington, Kentucky on Twitter. UK players had to report to campus for summer sessions beginning on June 2nd.

The 6-foot-3 point guard from Bel Air, Maryland was the first player to commit to Kentucky for the 2018 class. Tyler Herro, Keldon Johnson, and E.J. Montgomery followed him. 2019-point guard Ashton Hagans is also committed to Kentucky and will reclassify to 2018 sometime this summer.

Kentucky fans will love Quickley when he steps on the floor in Lexington. Everything that has ever been written about him has been positive and he will have no trouble playing alongside Hagans and Quade Green in the backcourt.

Since John Calipari has been the coach at Kentucky, he’s consistently recruited great players but even better kids. Quickley has the talent and more importantly, the personality to fit in well with the fans in Lexington.

Quickley hosted the Immanuel Quickley Mini Basketball Clinic in April, the perfect example of his selfless attitude. The entry fee for the camp was $5 but all proceeds were donated to the local Boys and Girls Club.

The former five-star and McDonald’s All-American has been in Lexington for one day but he’s already looking to make it feel like home. He’s even looking for a church to attend. If you know of one or would like to recommend one, be sure to write him on Twitter.

Continue to follow along this summer for more updates on Quickley and his UK teammates. Kentucky will have media availability for the returning players sometime in June.
