Look: Does the checkerboard pattern look good on these Kentucky cleats?

Does the checkerboard pattern look better on Lonnie Johnson’s Kentucky cleats?

There’s been a lot of disagreement about the checkerboard patterns on Kentucky’s basketball and football jerseys.

While I agree that it’s too much on the basketball jerseys, I don’t mind the look on the football jersey’s. That could be because it’s mainly on the shoulders, but I just think it’s not as much overkill as the basketball jersey’s. That said, I do like these personalized Kentucky cleats that defensive back Lonnie Johnson had designed.

The cleats include the UK logo, which also created it’s own controversy when it was first introduced, along with the secondary logo. The checkerboard is also included and I actually think it looks good on the cleats. Men’s basketball signee Tyler Herro wore a customized pair of shoes for his senior night that also included the checkerboard pattern.
