Kentucky Bounces Back with Win vs. Mississippi State

LEXINGTON, Ky – The Kentucky Wildcats bounced back with a big 80-72 win vs. the Mississippi State Bulldogs Tuesday night at Rupp Arena.

Junior Nick Richards led the way for Kentucky, finishing with a career-high 27 points and 11 rebounds, his tenth double-double of the season. Richards scored 25 of his points in the second half.

In addition to Richards big night, sophomore E.J. Montgomery had one of the best nights of his career Tuesday night vs. Mississippi State, finishing with 12 points and eight rebounds. Montgomery’s energy Tuesday night vs. the Bulldogs was something Kentucky fans haven’t consistently seen from the Fort Pierce, Florida, native.

Not only was Montgomery active in the scoring column and on the glass, but he also registered three steals and a block in the win.

Postgame coverage with John Calipari and players will be available shortly. Below is a full box score from the game.
