69 years ago today, Kentucky won their 3rd NCAA Championship

On this day 69 years ago, the Kentucky Wildcats won their 3rd NCAA championship.

Led by coach Adolph Rupp, Kentucky defeated Kansas State 68-58 at Williams Arena in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Bill Spivey scored 22 points and grabbed 21 rebounds to lead No. 1 Kentucky to the win over No. 4 Kansas State and the third national championship for the program in four years.
