LEXINGTON, Ky- Will teams ever learn not to trash talk Benny Snell leading up to matchups with Kentucky? I hope not.
The junior running back continues to rewrite the record books at the University of Kentucky. Following a 165-yard, 4 touchdown performance vs. No. 14 Mississippi State, Snell sits alone atop the record books for the most career touchdowns in UK history.
For his career, Snell now has 39 touchdowns. Randall Cobb previously held the record with 37.
Leading up to the game, Mississippi State running back Kylin Hill laughed at Snell believing he could run against the Bulldogs defense. Snell and the Wildcats had the last laugh as Hill finished with 19 total rushing yards.
Kentucky linebacker Kash Daniel was asked about Hill’s comments and he said the following.
“That’s a lot of talk for a man that probably rushed for 14 yards tonight.”
