Look: Kai Sotto Seems to be Enjoying his Visit to Kentucky

John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats are looking to strengthen next season’s frontcourt by adding another inside player and that player could be on campus today.

Kai Sotto, a 7-foot-2 center from the Philippines, is on campus today for an unofficial visit. 247 Sports Evan Daniels was the first to report the visit and since then, Sotto has been sharing pictures to his social media accounts.

Sotto is playing his senior season for The Skill Factory, a team based out of Atlanta. He averaged 11.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and 3.1 blocks for the Philippines in the FIBA U19 World Cup last summer.

Kentucky’s 2020 class already has six players signed but frontcourt depth is needed. Five-star forward Isaiah Jackson and four-star forward Lance Ware are the only inside players currently locked in for next season.

Kentucky will lose senior grad transfer Nate Sestina and with Nick Richards and EJ Montgomery beginning to hit their stride, the Wildcats are preparing to lose them as well.

Check out what Sotto has been tweeting. Things seem to be going very well.
