Three-Star Defensive End Kahlil Saunders Commits to Kentucky

The Kentucky football program picked up a commitment Friday afternoon when Kahlil Saunders announced his decision.

Saunders, a 6-foot-5, 260-pound defensive end, announced his commitment to the University of Kentucky in a post to his Twitter account.

The UK commit is rated a three-star prospect in the 2021 class by Rivals. He chose Kentucky over offers from Memphis, Kansas, and Virginia Tech, among others.

“First off I want to thank God for having the opportunity to play football and further my education at the next level,” Saunders wrote on Twitter. “I would like to thank The Grissom Football Staff for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to play the game I love the last three years. I want to thank all my friends and family that stuck with me along the way continuing to motivate me through the struggles and sacrifices. I would also like to thank my teachers and guidance counselor for there guidance and help through my high school career. With that being said, I am proud to announce my commitment to the University of Kentucky!”
