Kentucky senior linebacker Josh Allen will soon run out of room in his trophy case if he keeps winning awards.

On Thursday night, Allen was named the Bednarik Award winner, which is an award for Outstanding Defensive Player of the Year in college football. Allen is the first Kentucky player to win the award.

Allen was announced the winner during the Home Depot College Football Awards in Atlanta.

Earlier this week, Allen won the Bronko Nagurski Trophy for National Defensive Player of the Year, and was named SEC Defensive Player of the Year by the AP and SEC coaches. He has also been named first-team All-American by TheAthletic.com, Sports Illustrated, and the Walter Camp Football Foundation.
